Natural Stone > GraniteGranite is a natural stone product formed hundreds of millions of years ago through a process of solidification. It is found all over the world, and constructed mainly of the materials mica, quartz and feldspar. It is the different chemistry and formation of these materials that give each type of granite its colour and appearance. Often, the name of the granite will reflect the part of the world in which the stone is quarried. Every type of granite has its own unique characteristics and properties. Granite’s natural strength and beauty make it ideal material for kitchen worktops, as it is generally accepted as highly heat- and scratch-reistant.Colour and structure variations are inherent in the material. Samples shown or provided can only be used as an indication, and rights can never be derived from such samples. |

Scratch-resistance
*) You mainly need to be careful with very hot pans on the cold worktop (thermo-shock).
Stain-resistance**
**) Bianco Sardo, Kashmir White and Giallo Shivakasky are relatively porous and therefore less stain-resistant.
